Glowbes' Story

Every Glowbe tells a story - For us, Andrei & Ana Maria, Glowbes came to life as an inspiration to introduce our bundle of joy, baby Matthias, to our family and friends. Since our baby boy was born at the beginning of 2020, and with the global lockdown, all our plans were canceled; we wanted to capture the story of our little shining star and transform it into a lifetime memory that can be shared with our loved ones even from miles away. One of our family traditions is that each year we get a new ornament to hang in the Christmas tree. So we thought what could be a more personal gift than to capture our most special moment and the family tradition in a unique ornament and share the story in a magical glowing way.

We love offering personalized gifts that are original and specially designed for each person and occasion, but this time we decided to do more – as every Glowbe tells a story, why not spread the joy with the rest of the world?! And what could be a better occasion then just in time for the winter holidays, the happiest and most joyful time of year?

Every Glowbe is unique because it has your special memories captured through two photos or greetings of your choice. We create each Glowbe in-house in order to offer the highest quality product.

The Glowbes fit perfectly in the Christmas tree, as a decorative ornament next to your special memories, etc.

FDM Prototyping: We have started prototyping Glowbes using our existing FDM 3d printers and got good results. After weeks of testing different settings in producing the digital files and the Glowbes, we have achieved what we considered to be the best quality that can be obtained using the FDM 3d printing. Even if we were happy with the quality, some details weren't 100% perfect. We didn't settle until we have achieved the ideal results.

MSLA Prototyping: For us, details are paramount, as this is our way of showing appreciation for our backers. We believe in our product, and to offer the best quality and experience, we have upgraded our production line by adding MSLA 3d printers.

The new MSLA printers allow us to get the best results as we can 3d print up to 4K resolution. After having successfully 3d printed our first batch of MSLA prototypes, we have started optimizing the production for the Glowbes.
